Two Rants
Rant #1
Walmart SUCKS!!!! No really, it does. What sucks in particular? Well, their website operations and their customer service. Today, DH and I decided to start getting our registries set up. We went to BabyDepot (see below) and then returned to my SIL’s house to add some stuff to our walmart registry. I originally created my registry for Walmart online. I added stuff to this registry several times, but today when I tried to log in, I got the following message:
There is no record of an account using this email
Ok, so maybe I entered the wrong email. But after 24 times of trying to log in, I realized something was wrong. So, I called the Walmart customer service hotline. When the rep answers I explain the following:
“Hi. My name is Kristina and I am trying to update my baby registry online. When I try to log in I get a message that says that there is no account with this email address. However when I search for my registry it does show up.:
“OK,” he replies.
SIlence
“Ok, ” he replies again. “Uh. I am not good at the whole registry thing so I can’t help you. Silence again.
“Well, can I please speak to someone who can.” Ok, I am starting to get annoyed.
“OK. Please hold.”
15.5 minutes later.
“Hi, my name is Rhonda. How can I help you.”
“Hi. My name is Kristina and I am trying to update my baby registry online. When I try to log in I get a message that says that there is no account with this email address. However when I search for my registry it does show up.”
“Ok. Give me your email address and I will see what we can do.”
I give email address.
“Miss, there is no email account associated with that email address. Are you sure you are using the right address?”
“Yes I am. In fact, I know it is the right address because I am looking at the “Welcome” email that was sent to me after I created it.
“Well, let’s try with your phone number.”
I give phone number
“Miss, your registry is here. I am looking at it now. Maybe there is something wrong with your computer that is preventing you from seeing it.”
“How is that possible? When you used my email address you could not find it, but when you used my phone number you could. How could that error be a problem with my computer?”
“Well it has to be.”
“That does not make sense. Do you realize that does not make sense?”
“Miss, it has to be a problem on your end.”
“Ok, how about this. Delete my regisrty and I will go make one at a real store, like Target.”
Rant #2
We walk into Baby Depot at Burlinton Coat Factory so that we can add things to the registry that I created online. This is the conversation that occurs between me and the sales rep.
“Hello. I would like to add items to the registry that I created online.”
“Oh, brother. I have to make copies of the application because there are no more.”
“Ok, no problem.”
Sales rep huffs and puffs and rolls eyes as my party of three and another party of two wait for her to do her job. Then she disappears for about 5 mins and then returns.
“I am so tired. I am here alone and therre are so many people who need help.” She disappears again.
20 minutes later another sales rep comes to us and asks if we are being help. after explaining to her what we wanted to do she gives of a registry gun and has another person print out our registry.
We go around scanning items and then we get to the cribs. There was only one that we both liked so we decided to scan it. As we are doing this sales rep 1 rolls it away from us to the other side of the floor.
My husbamd: ‘We are looking at that.”
“Oh. Then let me explain to you what this crib is…. However, you should look at this one.”
She leads us to another crib.
My husband: “We don’t like the cribs with the sloping side bars.”
“But this is great.”
My husband: “We really don’t like these.”
“But it is a very nice one.”
Me: “We do not like that crib or the ones like that crib. We like this one. If you are going to help us, then you have to listen.”
“No need for the attitude, mrs.”
“Well, no need to push a product that my husband told you we don’t like.”
