Product Review: Take A Dab, and Call me in the Morning
I have a problem. A very severe problem if you ask my husband who is forced to deal with it on a nightly basis. I have VERY DRY FEET. Pedicures don’t help. This is not to say that i don’t enjoy them, but the fact of the matter is that they are a temporary solution to a long lasting problem. So, when I received my sample of SkinMD Shielding Lotion, I sent up a few hail Mary’s in the hope that this was the solution that I had been asking for. And you know what, it is definitely a pretty good start.
SkinMD contains aloe and other natural ingredients that help moisturize and protect the skin from the outside environment. It does not contain any animal-based ingredients and it is not test on animals either, which made me feel good because my family is adopting a semi-vegetarian lifestyle.
So what was it like to use SkinMD? Great. At first I used too much (despite the warning on the package that says a little goes a long way) because I could not believe that something so thin could actually moisturize my skin. However, the next time I followed the directions to the letter and within a few applications, I noticed that nor only were my feet softer and smoother, they looked better. My husband even said that I am now allowed to put my feet on him when I sleep. What a guy!!!!
But I have to admit, despite these noticeable changes I was not convinced. I asked one of my close friends who has Psoriasis too try out the lotion for several days. She refuses to give it back. She said that after a week of using it her skin is smoother and despite having a full blown attack, her skin did not look as bad as it normally looks. When I saw her yesterday, I too noticed the difference
I still wish it were thicker because I have come to expect that lotion is supposed to be thick. But, if it keeps working, I won’t complain.
You can find SkinMD at their website or at a store near you.
