30 Things About Me that Start With the Letter “K”

I was bored and decided to make up this meme. I wanted to see how many things I could reveal about myself start­ing each sen­tence with the first let­ter of my name. I think it is fun, so if you want to give it a try, please do so and add your name to my Mr. Linky Box. Please do not add your name if you did not com­plete the meme. Oh, and be sure to change the title of you post to 30 Things About Me that Start with the Let­ter “______”  My goal is to do a list every week until I spell out my whole first name.

OK, here I go:

1. Kristina with a “K” no “h” and end­ing in “a”.
2. Kristina is actu­ally not my first name. My real first name starts with a “K” too. I have not been called my real first name since I was 3 and in fact, I have legally changed my name to Kristina.
3. Kitchens that are beau­ti­ful and func­tional fas­ci­nate me.
4. Kind­ness is my down­fall and peo­ple often take advan­tage of me because I am too kind.
5. Kit­tens make me sneeze. Cats too.
6. Kinder­garten is one of my favorite mem­o­ries of my child­hood. I went to a place that had a play­ground on the roof. It was fenced in really well. I don’t think any­one every got hurt.
7. Krazy Kristina was one of my nick­names in col­lege.
8. KKK are my ini­tials if you take out 3 of my names and include my maiden name.
9. Kid you not, I have 8 names if you include my maiden name.
10. Karaoke is one of my favorite activ­i­ties despite hav­ing HORRIBLE stage fright.
11. Keep­ing in touch with peo­ple is not one of my strongest skills.
12. KIPP schools and their phi­los­o­phy scare me.
13. “Knight Rider” was one of my favorite shows.
14. Kennedy Brooke is one of the aliases that I used on the net years ago.
15. Kennedy Space Cen­ter, in Florida, is one of the places that I want to visit over the next 12 months.
16. Knit­ting is fun. I taught myself to knit two years ago.
17. Keep­ing up with the lat­est trends in web design and blog­ging occupy way too much of my free time.
18. “Knock Out” for Nin­tendo was one of my favorite box­ing games back in the day.
19. Karma is a bitch!
20. Kiss­ing it the most inti­mate act, even more so than sex.
21. Knock me if you want, but I am Pro-Choice AND Pro-Life.
22. Killing insects is actu­ally very ther­a­peu­tic– pass the fly swat­ter!
23. “Kick the bucket” is not a phrase I use often, but when I do I laugh every time.
24. Knight in Shin­ing Armour? That would be him.
25. Kind of thought this would be harder to do and never imag­ined that it would be fun.
26. Key Lime pie is prob­a­bly the only desert that I will not touch.
27. Kooky sums up my per­son­al­ity.
28. “Knuck­le­headz” was the name of the wannbe gang clique that I was apart of in col­lege. I met my hus­band who was also a mem­ber and we don’t speak to any­one else from the group except for my best friend.
29. Kegs were never impres­sive to me– not even in col­lege when I par­tied way too much.

I’ve Been Twitter Tagged

My new friend Renee over at Cutie Booty Cakes asked me to write 6 things about myself that no one else knows about myself. Here I go:

1. I was bulimic all through high school and about 3 years into college.

2. I write erotica.

3. I can speed read. Although there have been stud­ies say­ing that peo­ple who speed read lose com­pre­hen­sion, I under­stand and remem­ber EVERYTHING that I read. In fact, in order for me to enjoy books, I have to read 2–3 at a time.

4. I am adopted.

5. I am a rape sur­vivor. I was raped at 14 while at sum­mer camp while in the infir­mary with strep throat. My mother did not believe me and nei­ther did the camp staff. In fact, I was told that I “behaved in a man­ner that told this young man that I wanted to have sex with him.” This sent me on a dan­ger­ous mis­sion of self-abuse. I even­tu­ally worked through this (which I will write about soon) and became a coun­selor for other rape survivors.

6. I play piano. I have played since I was 6 and used to be very good. I have not played in almost ten years but when I hear cer­tain songs, I play them on an imag­i­nary piano.
