Not Again
I mentioned that SWHS had another bout with Pneumonia but she was doing better. Well, yesterday she started coughing again- that wet, hacking, gasping for air cough- and decided to start with the nebulizer treatments again. But then, last night she started coughing in her sleep and I got this horrible feeling in my stomach. We could be in for another sleepless week and all I really wanted was a recliner because when she gets sick she wants me to hold her all night which is not a problem, but it is very uncomfortable.
She woke herself up this morning with another coughing fit and I jumped out of bed to give her another treatment, but I was scared that she was getting worse. DOTM took her to the doctor this morning (thank goodness for a great pedi with 8:00 AM walk in hours) and she does not have a fever or an ear infection. In fact, other than her cough, there are no obvious signs of her being sick. I’m not too convinced though and I won’t le my guard down because the last time we ere told that everything was OK, I had to rush her to the hospital.
Anyway, she will be getting albuterol three times a day, pulmocourt two times a day, and I will be checking for a fever every four hours. Wish me luck!
