My Health Plan
I joined WW again (this is my third time) but I did not wait to start like I usually do; I began right away with my next meal. It is so easy to come up with excuses why to put it off, but I decided that I would dive right in, no excuses. I am using this year of leeave to work on so much more than my business. I need to work on me and I need to get healthy.
I know WW works. I have seen people lose a lot of weight while on the program, but I always fail because I don’t give it 100%. I make excuses- i’m too tired to cook or tracking the points is too time consuming or difficult or we have too much crap food in the house. But not this time. I know that there are no excuses.
Losing weight is not the only part of my health that I need to take care of either. I NEVER go to the doctor unless I am really sick and that usually means I am having a severe asthma attack and need to rush to the emergency room. I hate my primary care physician and have been saying that I am going to change to a different one, but never actually followed through. Well, both my hubby and I have appointments with a new doctor on Wednesday. I am going to talk to him about my asthma, possibly having a hypoactive thyroid, the ,ole on my head, and WLS. I originally said that I did not want to have WLS to lose weight, but i know now that it is a viable option and may be the route to go.
This is a positive step in the right direction.
Yes, we have to all start somewhere. I love WW when I did it in the past. It crosses my mind daily. Good-luck with it. I am sure you deserve the time off to help yourself. Everyone needs to be allowed to have that at some point and time.
Hang in there.
