I’ve Been Twitter Tagged
My new friend Renee over at Cutie Booty Cakes asked me to write 6 things about myself that no one else knows about myself. Here I go:
1. I was bulimic all through high school and about 3 years into college.
2. I write erotica.
3. I can speed read. Although there have been studies saying that people who speed read lose comprehension, I understand and remember EVERYTHING that I read. In fact, in order for me to enjoy books, I have to read 2-3 at a time.
4. I am adopted.
5. I am a rape survivor. I was raped at 14 while at summer camp while in the infirmary with strep throat. My mother did not believe me and neither did the camp staff. In fact, I was told that I “behaved in a manner that told this young man that I wanted to have sex with him.” This sent me on a dangerous mission of self-abuse. I eventually worked through this (which I will write about soon) and became a counselor for other rape survivors.
6. I play piano. I have played since I was 6 and used to be very good. I have not played in almost ten years but when I hear certain songs, I play them on an imaginary piano.
OK, those are things that I have not shared with many people in real life. And now it is your turn. I am tagging the following:
Here are the rules:
Now, if you’ve been tagged with the meme game from twitter, you must post 6 things no one knows about you on your BLOG. Then you have to tag 6 more people. (don’t forget to let them know they’ve been tagged.) Leave me a message letting me know that you’ve accepted the tag. Let me know when you’ve posted your list and make sure there’s a link back to my BLOG. Have fun!!!
Wow, you have really saved alot here. I am shocked that no one believed you when you were raped. I am so sorry to hear about that but happy that you worked thru it and helped others.

Wow! What an amazing post. I’m definitely writing my 6 things on my blog: bluesuitmom.com/blog. And I can’t wait to meet you in person this weekend.
You sound like you have a powerful life story to share. Like Renee’, I’m sorry to hear that noone believed you, but you managed to turn it into something positive, so I’m happy to hear that. It is also a reminder to me to always listen to my daughter.
