Happy One Month B-day
Dear SWHS,
I can’t believe that you are already one month old. Four weeks have flown by so quickly and I am starting to dread just how fast you will grow up. You have changed so much over the last four weeks.
When you were born you were only 5 pounds, 15 ounces and now you are 7 pounds, 4 ounces. You are eating between 3-4 oz of breast milk every three hours and you have even been sleeping better. Unfortunately, you still have your days and nights mixed up and 1:30 AM begins your witching hour. Although it is still heavy, you can lift your head and look around the room for a little while. You can also keep your eyes open for a long time. You love to look Daddy and me in the eyes and you’ve even smiled a few times. When we make weird noises, you coo and grunt and moan as if you are trying to answer us back. You favorite activity is being carried around in the sling that we just bought. You like to have your head on our chests and this makes things easier for us to do things. You are also on a sleep schedule now. We give you a bath every night at 6:00 PM and after being fed and read a story, you are in bed by 7:00 PM. You also got your first diaper rash at ten days old and it killed us. Every time you cried because you were in pain we cried. I don’t like to see you in pain. I never imagined being so completely protective of anyone, but now I can’t imagine not protecting you.
I love you so much, honey, and I am so grateful for you. You have given me a whole new outlook on life and your unconditional love has made me a better person.
Happy One Month Birthday my darling. Here’s to many more.
Love Always,
Your Mom
