Halloween 2009 – Scary and Fun
When you love Halloween as much as we do dressing up becomes a practice in outrageousness. We had planned to use a sports theme this year with Mya going as a NY GIANT, my husband the Coach, and me a Referee. Unfortunately, things did not work out (partially due to laziness and partially due to money). So we just decided to have fun and while Mya’s costume is new, ours have been recycled.
We spent the night with my in-laws, trick or treating in their neighborhood. My husband and his sister took Mya and my niece out while I stayed back and helped hand out the candy. It was a fun night despite the fact that my the Halloween Spirit seems to be dying down with our family. Next year we may end up going else where for the night.

LOL!!!! Omg, more than anything you guys just look like ya’all had big FUN!!!!! And really, that what it’s all about in the end!! I love you guys – nothing better than a family who can just be silly together!
It’s so refreshing to meet another couple who enjoys Halloween and gets into the spirit of things – it seems so rare these days.
I definitely hear you @ being on a budget. Truth be told, that’s why Derek’s “king” costume was so cheesey-looking (that thin, cheap robe and crown). I originally had envisioned doing a real Disney prince look (with the white tux jacket with gold brocade shoulders, etc). But…… after a bit of research I quickly realized that would be a LOT more and so that wasn’t gonna happen. lol. I mean, if we recycle that costume in the future I may really “do it up,” but for this year it just wasnt practical.
Mya is the cutest as a New York Giant!!!!! LOL!!!
